Equipping Tomorrow's Leaders with Practical Vocational Skills.
The ABF is committed to empowering and uplifting underprivileged youth through targeted vocational training across key sections in Sierra Leone. Beyond conventional education, we prioritise hands-on training, promoting self-reliance, self-determination, and independence. In 2024 so far, we have delivered 3 training programs in Freetown and the Southern Province. These programs have covered the Creative Arts, Hospitality and Artisanal Skills.
Mission
To become the leading charitable foundation for vocational training in Sierra Leone. Through our innovative choice of service providers, we aim to make vocational education accessible to all – both in urban and rural areas – driving positive change and creating opportunities for a brighter future. Our mission extends to post-training mentoring and support, with a focus on offering employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for all Foundation beneficiaries. We’re also on a mission to bridge the educational gap by establishing training centres in 5 underserved communities in Urban and Rural areas partnering with local businesses to provide real-world experience. Through our multi-tiered approach, we aim to significantly enhance employment rates and economic development across the nation.
Vision
We are committed to creating a lasting impact, contributing to the socio-economic development of Sierra Leone, and we envision a future where every individual can thrive and lead with confidence. By focusing on targeted vocational training and education initiatives, we aim to empower over 10,000 young people annually, ensuring they acquire the skills needed to excel in various fields. We strive to leave no community behind, by offering pathways to success for individuals from all walks of life and every corner of the country.
